This is what Klown's eat...

MMmmmmmMMmMmmm!!!  Nummy yummmy nummy yum Gummy Bear Jello Jigglers!!  Only take 1 hour, 10 minutes to make (plus 6 hours in the fridgerator.)  10 minutes for the preparation, and 1 hour to get out of the pan.  Make sure you do it with an audience, it's much funner that way, and they can help....  *<};-D

Well... I'm experimenting with how to get images to be loaded quickly into the blog, and I'm still sorting it out. This one has been done really easily using Picasa, a Google image server, but you have to sign up for their service to use it. Not hard, but you have to be willing.

We'll see how using this blog goes and, if it's too tricky, maybe we'll switch to a different server. In the meantime... these are Holiday Cakes I made while at Bobbie's for Thanksgiving, 2008!!

I am excited!

Hi family, this is great and I can't wait to see what kind of recipes, stories and pictures we share here. I know I will have a lot in the coming months, and I bet it will even inspire me to cook even more creatively than I already do. I have never used a blog, so here is hoping my slightly non techno savvy self can figure it out!

Welcome to Comida Del Prado!!!

Greetings, fellow descendants of the Del Prado line!! What does it mean to be a descendant of the proud Del Prados? Besides being all related through Grandma & stuff? It means that we love FOOD!! Cooking it, making it, eating it, talking about it, going to where they grow it and sell it and prepare it and..... So! Let's just have a little blog about it, shall we? Every one of us on this list is an enjoyer of a well prepared meal, and all of us, to varying degrees, enjoys being the preparer of said meals. So here is our chance to share, show off, collaborate and just talk about what we're doing with food. When Anova came to visit us here in Seattleland, and we cooked and talked about food & cooking, I got the idea that this would be a fun thing. I am going to add folks from our family that I think would have fun participating in a blog like this, you can add more if I've missed someone who might enjoy being on here. It does require that you have a Google email account, but they are very easy to sign up for and it will be worth the few minutes of your time to do it.

Once we are all set up, we can each post whatever we want to about our latest food/cooking interests, projects, etc. Feel free to talk about not only recipes you may be currently interested in, but also cuisines in general, restaurants you've recently enjoyed, food related books you've read, cook books you like, etc, etc. You can post pictures of your projects and even link your posts to your facebook page!! I think this is going to be fun!! So... let's start cooking. I mean blogging, I mean....
